I built a live-edge desk from a solid wood slab, taking it from rough material to a finished, functional workspace. The process included selecting and cutting the slab, flattening and leveling the surface, sanding through multiple grits, and sealing and finishing for durability while preserving the natural edge. I planned the final dimensions around everyday use, then assembled the desk into a stable setup that balances clean fit and finish with the character of the material.

I designed and built a custom coffee table featuring a wine-cork inlay sealed under a clear epoxy top. The build started with laying out and bonding the cork pattern, building a tight perimeter frame, and pouring epoxy in controlled stages to minimize bubbles and keep the surface level. After curing, I used a CNC to flatten the top surface by removing roughly the top half inch of epoxy and framing material, then followed that with progressive sanding and finishing to achieve optical clarity and long-term durability. I finished the project by adding legs and final assembly, and the biggest lessons were layout precision, process control, and how much the small details matter in the final result.
